Quality Assurance Technologist (Giftware/Retail sector)
Sue Ross Recruitment are looking for a Quality Assurance Technologist on behalf of our client, who is a well-established and successful distribution company, supplying their product range to major high street retailers.
This is an extremely important role with responsibility for all aspects of Quality Assurance for certain key customer accounts.
Working closely with our customers you will assess their quality requirements for product categories and individual products and be responsible for making sure these met. A key part of the position involves meeting with major customers to communicate and discuss QA issues. You will also be focused on working with overseas suppliers, sourcing office in Hong Kong and team of quality inspectors in China to avoid and minimize QA problems.
You will have co ordination and managerial responsibility for the following tasks/functions:-
* The assessment of all products to ensure that these are fit for purpose and to the agreed quality standards.
* Development of technical specifications.
* Advising suppliers of what test requirements they must meet and how they must achieve those requirements.
* Ensure all sealing requirements with the customer are met within the time scales given.
* Produce labelling and packaging specification including warnings and pack copy.
* Liaising with China Office, suppliers and the test house to ensure all tests are completed to the agreed deadline.
* The investigation and conclusion of customer complaints.
* Review inspection results and follow up non-conforming items
