Version 1 in the UK is working with a number of new customers across the public and private sectors who are at varying stages of implementation of SharePoint solutions. Some are migrating between versions, some are going through mergers or separations that require them to amend their SharePoint solution or there are those that are upgrading or reimagining their business use of Microsoft's collaboration tools (Office 365) and have asked for our help. We're looking for an experienced SharePoint consultant, with excellent experience of the modern online technology suite within Office 365, to join the team to work in one or more of these customer teams. You'll be a member of Version 1's Business Application Solution Practice (BAS) made up largely of IT Consultants who travel across the UK & Ireland to work with customers, sometimes at customer sites. You'll be one of the first specialist SharePoint/Office365 hires into the UK team, so you will be a strong communicator with an ability to demonstrate to clients and internal teams the power of the technology stack our clients and migrating to. You will be able to operate in a small team or independently with customers.
You'll be responsible for solution design/development and contributing to the continued growth of our Microsoft capability helping to mould our Cloud and solution offerings and help build a team within the UK.

Work with our current and future customer base to design and deliver new solutions and help them enhance their existing deployments. Participate in the envisioning, design & delivery of new solutions, either as a cloud development, hybrid or native SharePoint projects eg Evaluate and work with the attest suite of tools within Office 365, Azure, SharePoint, Angular, React, and help our customers maximise their benefit from them. Work effectively with customer stakeholders, end users, UX specialists, Engagement Consultants and technology teams to properly support, plan and deploy solutions that meet agreed business needs. Assist customers with defining best practice for their solution architecture, support planning for reliability & availability of farms, aiding with adoption and training, implementing governance procedures, monitor & be involved in building a team to provide frequent status health checks of the environment. Occasional activity providing 3rd level support is possible
To be a good fit for this role, You'll have a track record of delivering business solutions on SharePoint/office 365 for mid to enterprise level organisations, across multiple sectors.
You'll be highly proficient at working with business stakeholders and directing project teams, with detailed knowledge of the range of SharePoint platforms and associated technologies; not least Azure, App Source, App Services and Office365.
You'll have comprehensive experience developing and designing solutions on SharePoint Server, Office 365 and SharePoint Online. Any additional experience in Microsoft Dynamix CRM would be a distinct advantage in this role. You'll have an affiliation for SharePoint, be a member or regular contributor to forums, conferences or tech seminars and be familiar with broader Content and Collaboration solutions, best practice design principles and approaches for a range of styles and technologies.
We'll expect you to have sound understanding of the SharePoint Platform and core feature set, Office 365 and also strong C# development skills, SharePoint feature and App development, working knowledge of SharePoint Services;. Yammer, Delve, Forms, Teams, Groups, Flow, and responsive design for Mobile
You'll would be expected to have intimate knowledge of SharePoint architectures across a platforms, components, configuration, diagnosis and troubleshooting techniques It is expected you will have a working knowledge of SQL programming (eg TSQL), HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, and Source Control methodologies and principles.
Ideally You'll have some knowledge of Java, HTML and CSS. Experience of working with Agile Development would be an advantage.
