Sales Manager for International Events
Salary: GBP25K-GBP30K depending on experience + Un-capped commission with annual bonus

To be a successful Sales Manager at Extensia ltd, you will preferably possess previous media sales experience, preferably in events/conference sponsorship sales. You will be confident and comfortable, portraying a corporate image, while talking on the telephone or meeting face to face with high level executive clients. (Previous experience in or knowledge of the telecom and ICT sector would be an advantage but is not essential). You will be tenacious, ambitious and possess a winning 'can do' attitude. You will be highly challenged but your success will be well rewarded and you will have the opportunity to dictate your own destiny!
Extensia are a fast growing, international conference specialist, and we specialise in producing technology (Telecom) related events in Africa. We are recognised market leaders and due to exciting new partnerships, our portfolio of events and related support services is set for rapid expansion. We are recruiting a Sponsorship Sales Manager to join our existing team in producing conferences of the highest standard. Your primary role will involve selling sponsorships and business packages for conferences. You will be an integral member of the team and will work closely with all members of the conference team.
You will identify, prospect and close new clients for our existing conferences and you will be encouraged to identify additional revenue streams. As well as possessing the ability to establish new clients, you will have the opportunity to maintain and develop your relationship with these clients, managing your own accounts.
Key Skills Required
Proven ability to build relationships at senior levels
Strong Confident presentation skills via the phone and face to face
Creative and structured approach to selling
Analytical ability to identify client's needs
Tenacity to keep going where others would 'give up'
Winning mentality
Well organised with good administration skills and IT literacy
Strong ethics and ability to work as part of a team
Confidence to close high ticket deals
Professional appearance
Comfortable working in a high pressure environment
Flexibility to work outside of the usual 9-5 as and when required
