Our client, based in Bristol is looking for a Head of HR. This is a newly created role in response to significant growth we have experienced.This is a new position and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to really bring their experience and thought leadership to the role. This is a hands on operational role, but with responsibility to drive the Group's strategic people agenda. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and high potential candidate who has the credibility and gravitas and is looking to grow in step with our Group.Job ResponsibilitiesLeading and directing the human resource effort to deliver a comprehensive HR service to the global businessEmployee relations: including managing absence, disciplinaries, grievances and sickness through direct employee conversationsMeasuring employee satisfaction and engagement, and identifying areas that require improvementPerformance management: developing a performance management framework and coaching managers on performance management issuesLearning and development: providing guidance on development for managers and their teamsTraining: Implementing the training and development agenda; identify areas that need attention and improvementRecruitment and retention: managing talent and succession planning; taking overall responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns and employer brandingReward: developing policies for employee compensation and benefits, taking in to account local market practices and existing employee circumstancesPolicy and procedures: implementation of new HR policies, procedures, processes and ad-hoc projectsEnsuring all company policies and procedures are up to date, in line with current employment law and that line managers are up to date with changes to any policiesWorking with senior managers, influencing, coaching and advising on all people issues, and provide support for change managementManaging HR budgetsWorkplace: work with all stakeholders to ensure our global facilities support the needs of the business and our peopleCommunity: Personal leadership and support of the Group's CSR related activitiesSkills and experiences:Superb communication skills honed in business partnering/advisory roles.Experience of change management and organisation design.Examples of adding value as both an individual contributor and active team memberExperience of dealing with senior and sometimes challenging individualsAbility to build rapport quickly with key members of the executive teamAbility to represent the Human Resource function as part of the bigger business pictureConfident directing HR and advising managers on all aspects of people management and developmentExperience of acquisitions and integration's, including managing TUPE, redundancy or other relevant HR projectsStrong understanding of employment lawExperience of international HR and working with local advisorsGood work ethic, and willingness to travel between UK offices to meet with stakeholders on an ad-hoc basis (all expenses will be reimbursed).Experience of technology or IPR creation businesses is essential, and ideally experience of working within a listed company.Artis HR is a specialist full-service HR & Communications recruitment consultancy.
