New Business Sales Executive

Our client is a well-known transport, logistics and freight forwarding company with offices in the Nordic countries, UK and the US with approx. 700 employees and a turnover of approx. 1.9 billion DKK.
Due to continuous expansion, our client is now seeking an experienced New Business Sales Executive to join their well-established team of five New Business Sales Executives. They are flexible on location but you will be required to work from their busy head office based in Leeds, for two days a week.

Position Summary
Reporting direct to the National Sales Manager, as New Business Sales Executive, you will plan, manage and carry out new business development and account management activities, increasing sales to new accounts & prospects, in accordance with agreed business plans and targets.
Additionally, your daily responsibilities will include:
• Generating new business through cold calling, prospecting, upselling, cross-selling, online networking and meetings to identify and develop opportunities.
• Constantly grow the revenue in line with set yearly and quarterly targets
• Following up on leads, referrals, enquiries and call backs.
• Attending a minimum of 8 sales visits per week
• Rate generation and presentation to include tender processes on all services
• Liaising with new & existing customers to establish client relationships.
• Ensuring the smooth transition of sales to operational delivery.
• Maintaining customer database & preparing relevant sales reports.
• Ensuring Lemans core values are maintained always
About you:
This role will suit an individual who is self-motivated, experienced in selling to the SME market and confident in sourcing your own leads.
The successful candidate will hold the below skills in order to hit the ground running in this role;
• You should have good knowledge, experience and networks across the Air, Sea, and Road sectors
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and keen to succeed in a performance-driven environment
• Able to make decisions and work in an entrepreneurial manner
• Have good business acumen and work well within a team
• Flexible in your approach to work
