Locum Dentist

Main Responsibilities:

• Examine patients, obtain medical history and develop a treatment plan;
• Examine patient’s teeth, gums and jaw, using dental and x-ray equipment, diagnose dental conditions;
• Assess and recommend treatment options to patients;
• Administer local anaesthetics;
• Carry out clinical treatments, restore teeth affected by decay, performing scaling, fillings, Root canals, extractions, bridges, crowns, dentures and other oral services;
• Treat gum disease and other disorders;
• Carry out crown and bridge work;
• Supervise patient progress and give advice on preventative action;
• Educate patients on oral health care;
• Refer patient to specialist, where necessary;
• Maintain dental health records;
• Carry out clinical audits of patient records;

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• GDC registration number
• Previous experience in similar roles will be preferred
• Fluency in English language will be preferred
