Pay rate £7.60 ph- working 25 hours per week

Servest are recruiting for an experienced Catering Assistant to work within an onsite restaurant at an Head Office building based at Cambridge Science Park. The site is home to just over 120 employees and the catering offering is managed by a small catering team. With this in mind as a catering assistant you will have exposure to all areas of the restaurant- we are looking for someone who is used to working in a small team, covering all areas front and back of house and that can communicate effectively with the customers and onsite client.

Day to day duties will include:

· Assisting the Chef Manager with basic food preparation

· Serving customers - both counter service and hospitality

· Cash handling, till work and cashing up

· General cleaning of the kitchen and restaurant areas

To be considered for this role you must have a background of working in a commercial kitchen environment as a Catering/ General Assistant or similar. Ideally you will hold your basic food hygiene certificate.

Due to the nature of the role you will be in direct contact with the customers and onsite client- we are looking for a high standard of customer service, someone with the ability to work to tight deadlines , be pro-active and happy to work in a fast paced environment. This is a small team so you need to be hands on and happy to support where needed.

Hours of work will be Monday - Friday 09:00 - 14:00.
