The Admissions Officer will be engaged in performing a clearly defined range of administrative tasks with the established routines and procedures including regulatory compliance. The role holder will have an understanding of the student database and Student Finance England (SFE) procedures, which directly impact their work; they will work closely with colleagues and respond to routine queries. The work will require arranging tasks within a daily routine such as checking student application forms received from students and/or referrals (as relevant), ensuring the response time and customer service standards are met to company regulations.
The role holder will be required to check letter/email templates before issuing appropriate letters/emails to new students and check all documentation received from students and referrals, recording all details onto the student database as well as Student Loans Company (SLC) portal accurately ensuring a high level attention to detail at all times.
Role holders will have detailed knowledge of the Student Portal, Edexcel and Student Finance England regulations and will be responsible for confirming attendance and liaising with external government bodies.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Advise the consultants to respond to applications and inform prospective students if they have been successful in enrolling for their courses.
- Advise consultants on Student Finance regulations.
- To process applications and verify other associated documents where required within service level agreements.
- Interrogate the system in order to obtain information on student enrolments, fees and other student related activities.
- Monitor targets and make sure they are achieved.
- To assist and welcome students to the school.
- SLC related tasks and queries.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Strong skills in MS software packages.
- Experience in customer service / administrative role.
Desirable:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Knowledge about admissions procedures.
- Professional experience in administrative roles required or similar.
