JOB TITLE: Carpet and Hard Floor Fitter

SALARY & BENEFITS: Very competitive salary depending on experience


WORKING HOURS: Full time position but must be flexible around working hours to suit business needs.


THE COMPANY: Our client is a successful flooring, carpet and curtain company based in Oundle who supply and fit curtains, blinds, flooring and carpets in Peterborough and the Northamptonshire area. Based from their two showrooms in Oundle, they offer quality, variety and have over 40 years experience to homeowners and commercial clients alike.


THE ROLE: The role of the Carpet and Hard Floor Fitter will be to travel around the Peterborough and Northamptonshire areas fitting carpets, vinyl and safety flooring as per customer instructions. After an initial probationary period this position will involve national coverage to suit business needs.


THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a similar role, and will possess excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with customers on daily basis. The successful Carpet and Hard Floor Fitter will have reliable transport if self employed. Our client will consider self employed or employed for their positions. Our client is looking for fitters that take pride in their work and can solve any issues that the customer may have whilst on site.


Key experience essential for the role of Carpet and Hard Floor Fitter based in Oundle:
  • Previous experience within a similar role or environment.
  • Must live within a commutable distance of Oundle, Northamptonshire.
  • Must have a full UK driving licence with access to reliable transport.
  • Will have excellent communication and communication skills.
