THE COMPANY:
Brewster Pratap are currently working with a leading distribution business in Sheffield to recruit an Inventory & Demand Planner to join them on a permanent basis. Following significant growth and operational development, this exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, customer-focused, self-motivated and commercially aware individual to join the Inventory & Purchasing team
THE JOB:
Reporting to the Inventory & Planning Manager you will be responsible for planning the inventory and forecasting the demand for group of suppliers and a vast range of products to ensure that the company remains the market leader in stock availability to meet their customers' needs and expectations
Key responsibilities will include:-
* Planning the inventory and forecasting demand, placing purchase orders, communicating with suppliers and progress chasing
* Liaising with Product Managers to ensure the appropriate purchasing and stocking strategies are applied to each supplier and product
* Understand and react to seasonal trends and promotional activity, ensuring that stock is ordered effectively
* Monitor, measure and improve supplier performance whilst escalating issues to key stakeholders
* Export and import data to and from bespoke software and MS Excel, supplying statistical analysis
THE PERSON:
The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar inventory, demand or supply chain planning role and have extensive analytical and planning skills. You will be self-motivated and highly organised with the ability to work to and meet challenging deadlines whilst delivering a high quality of customer services at all times. You will have strong systems knowledge with a good working knowledge of MS Excel (to pivot table and v-lookup level) and be confident in your ability to pick up new systems with ease
