We have a new exciting opportunity, not to be missed! At Pitney Bowes we are currently looking for a Technical Services Engineer to join our team based in Tewkesbury. The successful candidate will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary plus excellent benefits.

About the Technical Services Engineer role

You will thrive on delivering a high level of technical support to installed equipment base on our client site. You will ensure technical standards and operational procedures are followed correctly.  You will ensure equipment meets the Client’s expectations by providing break/fix support and identifying root cause analysis and recommended corrective actions relating to equipment which may impact customer productivity. You deliver with precision and you see opportunities where others see challenges.

In this role, you will join our Pitney Bowes Global Services division based on one of our Clients sites in Tewkesbury Gloucestershire.  The site runs on a shift basis across 24hrs / 7 days a week.  You will report to the Area Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities of our Technical Services Engineer

- Supporting the overall satisfaction of clients through a positive, constructive and helpful attitude, timely and efficient work practices, and open and honest communication.

- Maintaining equipment serviced by PB to defined standards through break/fix, periodic maintenance and continuous machine performance monitoring and improvement including software backup as defined by PB and/or customer best practices.

- Ensuring that technical standards are maintained, and paperwork, business data systems and operational procedures are adhered to.

- Adoption and use of defined procedures.

- Update and maintain PB systems for data capture and tracking of activities and information.

- Stock checks and maintenance through manual and online systems.

- Care and maintenance of PB tools and equipment in your possession (Toolkits, PC’s, tablets, phones).

- Supporting the business to deliver revenue through; Machine preparation, installation of new hardware and software, upgrades, demonstrations supporting sales and marketing teams where necessary, participation and supporting with tradeshows.

What we are looking for in our Technical Services Engineer:

- The candidate must have an academic background in Electronic, Electrical or Mechanical engineering

- PC and basic Microsoft tools Literate knowledge

- Ability to identify and communicate root cause problem analysis and corrective action to PB colleagues and line management.

- Customer service orientation, ability to communicate root cause problem analysis and corrective action to clients.

- Self-motivated and self-disciplined

- Able to work as an individual contributor as well as part of a team
