Avenue is currently working with a leading national construction group and is currently looking for a Site Agent to join their experienced team of professionals in the North of Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading Contractor who is currently delivering major infrastructure projects throughout Scotland.
The Role
*Attend external pre-start meeting and make initial contact with clients
*Co-ordinate and control initial set up including installing Company systems and procedures
*To direct the necessary labour, plant, staff and equipment to achieve completion on time, to specification and within budget
*To programme works in conjunction with nominated contractor and provide short term and as built programmes as required
*Liaise with the design team to ensure the design deliverables are received in time for efficient delivery of the site works
*Monitor that the Buying team and Surveying department order the correct materials and sub-contract services in good time to meet contract objectives
*Manage site teams by monitoring performance against contract targets and instigating any necessary corrective actions
*Administer the valuation system, maximise cash flow and profitability
*Implement strict financial controls on subcontractors, suppliers and operatives
*Post contract, organise and co-ordinate the undertaking of maintenance work
*Contract programme prepared prior to commencement fully detailing set up, design, procurement, delivery, commissioning and hand over
*Detailed design deliverable schedules produced and monitored/updated
*Detailed procurement schedules produced and monitored/updated
*Ensure prompt issue of Making Good Defects Certificates and release of retentions
*Most cost-effective methods of meeting customer needs are identified and used
The Candidate
*Health & Safety - SMSTS and Manager CSCS
*Appointed Person (Lifting)
*NRSWA Accreditation
*Lifting competency
*Temporary Works competency
*Environmental awareness
*HNC / Degree in appropriate discipline
*Experience of construction of Highways and Windfarms
