Estimator

My client are a General Construction Contractor, who work across several key sectors including Retail, Commercial, Residential (private and social), Leisure, Public Sector, Bespoke, Education and Health. As a result of expansion and winning new projects, they are currently looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to work with them on a permanent basis. You will be working on a variety of projects across the above sectors. Project values will be between GBP50k - GBP2m. The projects are on a regional basis, and this will be an office based role. As an Estimator, you will work closely with a commercial team that will support you as needed. You will be responsible for: An understanding of full pricing strategies within the construction sector from schedule of rates to traditional tendering processExperience in a wide variety of contractsWorked across various industry sectors including both public and private sectorsA high degree of numerical abilityEffective communication and team working skillsA conscientious and a self-disciplined approachAbility to effectively control cost and valueCompetent working knowledge of Word, Outlook and excellent Excel skillsThis is an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor, who has experience working in the general contracting sector. The ideal candidate will be confident and able to make decisions in a close knit environment. You must have a full driving licence, as travel will be required to sites on an ad hoc basis.
