Director of Development and Growth
The spot salary for this post is GBP75,750 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all of the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.
Car allowance GBP5,000
Shipley, Burnley, Middlesbrough, Peterborough or Camberley

Our client is a registered social housing provider employing around 500 members of staff. We manage over 21,500 homes across the country, affecting over 34,000 residents lives nationwide. Our core values are to be respectful, creative, dependable, open and honest
Our client has increased its development programme to over 2000 new homes and is seeking a new director to generate new business to meet this ambition. As we are a national housing association you will have a large pitch to play on, but we want our growth to match where people want to live and we want to provide homes that improve the quality of their lives.
You'll lead and manage the development team and sales and marketing function, leading all growth and acquisition activity to ensure that opportunities are maximised to achieve our ambitious growth targets and be part of meeting national housing need.
You will need experience of both traditional and creative new development opportunities, developer-led deals and non-land led acquisitions including joint ventures and other commercial approaches.
You will have a proven track record in developing and leading housing programmes from initial site identification to contract and handover. You'll have a strong network of contacts with both developers and consultants especially in our target areas, where we already have homes. You will work alongside our Programme Manager who supports our development consortium and you will be a lead member of this group.
You will need to hit the ground running as we have recently increased our ambitions to grow but you can count of the support of the Executive Director who you will report to and an excellent national team of staff. As Director of Development and Growth you will be a member of our leadership team who will help to shape our future under the leadership of a new chief executive and chairman.
