An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Site Manager to join our Liquefied Petroleum Gas Cylinder distribution site in Yeovil. In return, we offer a competitive salary, 33 days' holiday pro rata, NEST pension scheme, ChildCare Vouchers, death in service benefit and employee discounts.
We are the second largest LPG supplier in the UK and has over 30 years' experience providing alternative energy solutions to domestic and commercial customers.
Reporting to the Operations Service Manager, the Site Manager will be responsible for managing a Liquefied Petroleum Gas Cylinder distribution site, delivering safety and compliance, and effectively managing all aspects relating to people, assets, processes and performance associated with the site.
The role will involve:
Effectively managing the site in accordance with business and legislative requirements
Safe management accordance with the Safety Management system to meet compliance and driving a safety culture
Adhering with transport compliance, including vehicle maintenance, Drivers hours and Tachograph regulations in addition to Working Time Directive regulations
Compliance of company processes and procedures relating to sales, stocks, financial controls within the operating system (CODAS)
Complying to company Operating Procedures and Works Instructions
Professional approach to drive effective team working
Conduct all aspects of managing employees on site including selection, recruitment, training, performance management and appraisals etc.
Work alongside internal credit control team to effectively manage levels of customer debt
Hazard identification and risk assessment of routine tasks and maintenance (with support of Technical Services)
Keep site stocks in line with customer demands
Open and close the site
The successful Site Manager will:
Hold a full driving licence
Possess proven experience of Safety Management Systems and controls procedures
Have knowledge of current health & Safety and employment law and good practice
Have experience of working with customers, in providing great service and resolving customer issues
Have the ability to manage the site and vehicle costs within budgeted levels
Be proficient in use of IT equipment and Microsoft packages i.e Outlook, Work and Excel
Have an eye for details and well organised
Demonstrate strong numeracy and literacy skills
Demonstrate a personal commitment to health & safety
Be professional and conducts themselves with integrity and honesty at all times
A Counter Balance Fork-Lift truck licence and ADR licence are desirable.
