Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for 2 part time Scheme Managers based in Eastbourne. These are permanent positions working 18.5 hours per week. Hours would be discussed and agreed at interview stage.

What your role will be

Reporting into the Scheme Team Manager, as a Scheme Manager you will provide the intensive housing management needed in our over 55's living schemes. You will be spending your time working in our over 55's living schemes, providing an effective and efficient tenancy and estate management service to our over 55 customers and ensuring our neighbourhoods are profitable.

You will be our presence in our over 55's living schemes you manage, having a detailed understanding of the area. With support from the Tenancy Enforcement Team you will ensure that customers meet their contractual obligations and that our over 55's living schemes are as safe, clean and attractive as possible.

You will work alongside service providers to ensure that services represent good value for money. Carrying out tenancy reviews and property inspections will be an important aspect of your role.

Your background

We need you to have excellent communication skills ensuring a polite and courteous manner at all times is paramount to this role. As you will be working closely with our over 55 customers and service providers it is essential that you are able to demonstrate the ability to create and maintain effective working relationships.

You will need to demonstrate tenacity, resilience and attention to detail, as well a commercial approach to what you do.

You should have experience working within a similar tenancy and estates management role and have relevant and up to date knowledge around housing and tenancy legislation and procedures which can be acted upon to make informed decisions.

We are looking for someone who can use their initiative and is eager to contribute towards making positive changes. Therefore you should be able to evidence where you have introduced or contributed to service delivery improvements. You will need to be a positive motivator with the ability to support others deliver an effective service.

You will sometimes face challenging and possibly emotionally charged situations therefore we need you to have excellent communication skills, resilience and to be able to draw on your experience and initiative. You will be motivate and able to manage your time with a minimum of supervision.

As we will require you to travel as part of this role it is essential that you possess a full and current UK driving license.
