An exciting Sanctions Officer role has just been released at one of the world's leading investment banks based in central London. This senior roles provides the opportunity to become instrumental in addressing Sanctions risks across all business lines for the group.

The primary responsibilities of the Sanctions Officer will be:

  • To ensure Sanctions Compliance with the Regulators and Authorities for the UK and Ireland region.
  • To work with the Sanctions team but also with the Anti-Financial Crime teams and the Regional Head of AFC in the UK to address Sanctions risks and ensuring that processes, procedures and controls are operating effectively to mitigate potential risks.
  • Analysing and assessing high-profile business transactions and working with the Senior Deal Team to ensure that Sanctions risks are adequately covered.
  • To collate Management Information and to assist with payment screening escalations.

To be the Sanctions Officer you will need:

  • Expertise with Sanctions laws and regulations in the UK as well programs in the US, EU and the UN.
  • Substantial Sanctions experience and knowledge gained from working within a multi-national financial institution or comparable function.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously but also as part of the wider Sanctions team.
  • The ability to work with a very broad range of senior stakeholders.
