Job Title: Internal Sales Executive

Salary: up to £24,000 per annum + Bonus

Location: Northampton

Job Role:

Our Client is a world-leading manufacturer of indoor and outdoor environmental cleaning solutions and specialty floor coatings.

They are currently looking to recruit for an Internal Sales Executive to work in their office based in Northampton.

The main purpose of the role is to maximise the effectiveness of the sales teams by producing high quality leads and working towards agreed set targets and profitability goals and to deliver sales growth on consumable items and service contracts by ensuring all queries are responded to in an efficient, professional and timely manner.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Identifying opportunities, produce leads and book appointments for the sales team with the emphasis on high quality leads.
  • Developing business from new and lapsed accounts, handling customer queries and issues efficiently and professionally
  • Qualifying and passing sales opportunities for the external sales team.
  • Work on specific campaigns and activities as requested to generate sales opportunities and (or) appointments for members of the sales team.
  • Proactively follow up leads generated from canvassing by the account managers.
  • Monitor and report on sales activities and provide regular management information as required
  • Actively researching potential clients and identifying competitor activity
  • Developing, maintaining and keeping the CRM system up to date.

Required Experience & Education:

  • At least 2 years working within a sales environment preferably in a proactive outbound B2B telesales role.
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Must enjoy a fast paced working environment and be happy to work towards KPI's and targets
  • Proven Track Record of meeting and working to targets
  • Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels within and outside the organisation
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office software
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure within strict deadlines

Required Interpersonal & Behavioral Skills:

  • Ability to concentrate on tasks, make decisions and work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure, deadline oriented environment.
  • Willingness to adjust to a changing work environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, both internally and externally, while maintaining a client service orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize and accurately prioritise work, be detail-oriented, understand when urgency is required and use good judgment in varied situations.
