This service provides an integrated approach to supporting families who are experiencing multiple disadvantages. Your role will be to work closely with our partner organisations to improve the lives of parents experiencing mental ill health.

Vocational Advice Worker
Location: Broxbourne + some travel outside of the Broxbourne area
Salary: 
£20,000 per annum including Outer London Weighting (OLW)
Responsible to: Services Manager
Hours: 31 hours per week

The aim of this partnership is to tackle and alleviate intergenerational poverty, underachievement and mental ill health. The service will provide whole family support to resolve problems caused by poor mental health, poverty, unemployment and underachievement in children.

The aims of the Vocational Advice Worker are:

  • To provide vocational advice to parents experiencing mental ill health.
  • To improve the confidence and resilience of parents experiencing mental ill health, enabling them to access education, training, volunteering, new or more secure employment opportunities.
  • To work with the wider team within the charity to  parents to access additional support as needed e.g. counselling, peer support, vocational advice and self-development courses.
  • To work with and provide a service for parents who may have multiple needs.
  • To ensure the delivery of quality services and identify gaps in provision to inform future developments.
