Duties & Responsibilities: (PHP Developer / Software Engineer)
We are looking for exceptional and aspiring software engineers to join our elite development team. Our developers are not just coders, but problem solvers. They take ownership of problems and find resolutions, end-to-end. They take pride in the work and make a real impact.
We develop full-stack solutions: HTML5 user interfaces; PHP front-ends; robust business middle-tiers; backend systems using C#; low-level service layers using a variety of skills. Our products are market-leading, and we work directly with partners such as Microsoft and Dell on brand new technologies. We are industry experts in many fields.
You will get to work on a wide variety of projects, from green field new developments to integration projects, to systems revamps involving migrations of a large number of customer services. For instance we've recently moved to using Docker for development, and are moving our core Control Panel to use Laravel. We have multiple test platforms available that can be built and deployed to with the touch of a button and are investing in automated testing for our QA engineers.
We work Agile using Scrum, working closely in teams with QA experts, business analysts, programme managers and product owners. It's a relaxed but focussed working environment where every individual matters.
Collectively we run regular focus groups and Development-TED lectures where we discuss latest technologies and techniques. Out of hours we have various clubs, from fitness to board games. Many of our members take part in lunch-time fitness activities, and our gamers often run LAN parties. We're based in a great up-and-coming location with recent significant commercial developments.

- Assist the team building customer-facing front-end control panels
- Build robust scalable future-proof frameworks
- Design with consideration to wider system architecture
- Perform lifecycle management activities
Skills & Experience required:
- Strong generic coding skills (OO design, Clean Coding, Testing Techniques)
- Strong core PHP (Ideally in PHP7) knowledge and associated technologies (PSR Standards, and MVC framework exposure - ideally Laravel)
- Readiness to take ownership and drive solutions to problems
- Keen interest in emerging technologies and learning new languages and skills
