Production & Quality Supervisor

Due to the relocation & expansion of a small but well respected manufacturer /supplier of decorative hardware, furniture & lighting, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced production / quality professional to lead a small shop-floor team at a critical time in the transformation of the business.

Duties/Responsibilities:

- Assist small production team to successfully adopt standard working practices, by providing hands-on support & helping to resolve day-to-day problems & queries.

- Lead continuous improvement program to build-in quality & improve efficiency. Assist with update of documentation, visual aids & reference materials.

- Responsible for the accurate & timely control & movement of inventory between production workstations.

- Carry out two-stage quality inspection process on incoming and outgoing goods.

- Workshop & warehouse housekeeping.

- H&S training & compliance.

Requirements:

- Relevant experience working within a manufacturing or engineering business, - experience of high quality decorative hardware or furniture a plus.

- Familiar with modern manufacturing practice & quality systems.

- Good IT & admin skills with competency in MS Excel

- Responsible & diligent - always demonstrating great attention to detail & care.

- Practical & dynamic self- starter, with proven ability to resolve problems & get results.

- Real team player, with good communication & leadership skills.

Standard Working Hours:

8.00am - 5.00 pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour combined lunch / breaks.
