Our client is currently recruiting for a Field service engineer to be based in the Greater Manchester area providing installation, breakdown repair and pre-planned maintenance support on industrial compressors in customers premises throughout the NW.
The successful candidate will be servicing industrial compressors in varying environments which could include plant rooms for utilities, manufacturing lines, engineering workshops and garages and dentists.
Candidate Requirements:
- Excellent fault finding skills
- Some basic electrical skills
- Electrical qualifications advantageous but not essential
- High degree of knowledge of compressors and the applications where they can be used (work will be predominantly mechanical)
- Qualified Mechanical engineer who has ideally spent time as a Service Engineer
- Strong industrial compressor knowledge
- Worked in a customer facing role
There will be a requirement to visit the workshop daily so you must live within a reasonable commute of the company premises. Anyone from the following areas will be suitable; Stretford, Wythenshawe, Cheadle, Hyde, Oldham or from the Central/South Manchester area.
Hours of work are 8-4:30pm Monday to Friday.
Salary depends on experience within the compressed air industry: ??26k -??28k.
