Accounting Services Manager - Finance Manager, Payroll Manager, Oracle, Payrite

A division of Nasdaq listed company is one of the UK's leading providers of gaming solutions for the licensed betting office, arcade and bingo sectors. We are currently seeking an Accounting Services Manager to oversee the Payroll, Accounts Payable and Cashier functions of the business.

Reporting to the Financial Controller this role involves the direct management of 6 staff whilst working alongside the Financial Reporting team and the wider business. The position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to contribute to developing and enhancing the finance function within a growing business.

A successful applicant will have hands on knowledge of the Payroll, AP and Cashier functions and experience of staff supervision. Experience in using accounting packages payroll systems is essential, with Oracle and Payrite experience desirable. Excel to at least intermediate level is also considered essential.

In addition to day to day activities a successful candidate will be required to deal with a diverse range of project work and one off tasks and will be comfortable with taking on new challenges at short notice. The business will be migrating to a new ERP system within the next 12-24 months and you will have the opportunity to contribute to this implementation and the development of improved management information reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

To provide finance leadership, specifically but not restricted to:
* Supervise and provide guidance to the Payroll team.
* Head-up the Accounts Payable team.
* Manage the cashier function within the business including the relationship with our bankers.
* Enforce compliance with corporate policies.
* Ensure adherence to internal control processes.
* Engage in project work and ad-hoc duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Up-to-date knowledge of UK payroll responsibilities & associated HMRC statutory legislation.
* Understanding and experience of Accounts Payable activities including processing employee expenses.
* Understanding and experience of bank reconciliations and processing bank payments.
* Ability to deliver to tight deadlines and to balance multiple concurrent priorities.
* Understanding of VAT rules and regime.
* Excel to intermediate level.
* Experience of one or more accounting packages is essential, Oracle is preferred.
* Experience of one or more payroll system is essential, Payrite is preferred.
