Head of Product & Marketing Role Purpose:

As an integral member of the Executive team, you will be responsible for:


The global creation and delivery of exciting new product innovation and development, in line with brand strategy. Creating and delivering the Global Marketing Plan. Global brand communication plan, brand marketing, developing and utilising consumer insight and retail channel for the business world wide.

To ensure that the brand has both the consumer and the customer experience front of mind. 

A global brand guardian guaranteeing the brand proposition, visual identity and purpose is clearly articulated and relevant throughout the business. 

We are looking for someone to engage, inspire and guide their team, peers and our global partners.

Responsible for:

Product Specific:


+ Ensure all products meet the key channel strategies
+ Working with our distribution partners to develop a commercial product strategy for key markets.
+ Ensure brand guidelines are followed and products developed are on brand.
+ Grow worldwide sales and gross margin contribution for product.
+ Lead and develop a culture that stimulates innovation and product excellence.
+ Ensure competitive advantage is delivered through the effective leadership of the Product Development and Design teams.
+ Lead the global cross functional integration of the product development process.
+ Ensure the specified company annual objectives, KPI’s and Milestones are achieved for product development. 
+ Responsible for agreeing product range architecture to ensure a focused SCO count delivers optimized gross margin return.
+ Establish effective and appropriate multi level and cross functional contacts within the business to develop a comprehensive tailored solution approach to all customer issues.

Marketing Specifics:

+ Drive increased Brand engagement with the consumer by developing clear differentiated messages which are globally relevant. 
+ Integrating the different activities within marketing department to deliver one coherent marketing strategy.
+ Enable the organization to create competitive differentiated products by providing clear consumer insight to the product team.
+ Use eCommerce and retail to test new brand propositions, providing detailed information back to the organization.
+ Identify and deliver brand digital strategy and roll out across our global partners
+ Developing PR programmes and tools
+ Ensuring our partners deliver the brand marketing and retail guidelines through our clear tools and sign off process
+ Monitoring and reporting return on investment of relevant marketing activities.

Leadership Specifics:

+ To effectively manage the assigned budget and resources for the Global product development marketing teams 
+ Responsible for identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities.
+ Responsible for driving increased performance against the KPI’s.
+ Be an effective cross functional leader being able to deliver through influence as well as authority
+ Highly effective people manager, providing coaching, leadership and support as necessary to meet individual development goals.

Head of Product & Marketing Skills & Knowledge:

+ Able to demonstrable strong leadership and work across a broad range of functional areas and an ability to work with employees and counterparts in various time zones and locations.
+ A passion and drive for great innovation and breakthrough product. 
+ Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills; ability to motivate/influence without direct reporting authority. 
+ The ability to inspire, build teams and grow people
+ The ability to understand and meet consumer needs.
+ Able to lead global integration cross functionally and through influence.
+ Able to demonstrate creativity and innovation with a focus on commercial acumen
+ Quick to identify patterns and trends within customer, consumer and competitor behaviour.
+ Ability to identify, motivate and deliver key external partners to support global product plans.
+ Highly motivated, independent and able to work on own initiative to deliver results to tight deadlines.
+ Flexible to changing priorities, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 
+ Exemplary skill in project management 
+ and commercial in focus – always looking to create commercial advantage from a business situation.
+ Strong analytical approach to the business 
+ Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects under tight timescales and pressure

Experience & Qualifications:

Essential:


+ Experience of leading the delivery of world wide results 
+ Strong Global market insight and understanding.
+ Strong commercial awareness with the ability to grow sales and gross margin performance through the use of innovation, range planning and a clear understanding of the cost drivers of product.
+ Educated to degree level or equivalent proven experience within Marketing specialism
+ Strategic marketing planning skills 

Desirable:

+ Developing International PR strategies
+ Experience of working with Licensees 
+ Consumer Research insight
+ Experience of mono retail
+ New emerging technologies that facilitate brand management across global licensees and distributors
