If yes, please read on???My client is a renowned engineering company based in the Gloucestershire area. They are looking for a new Quality Engineer to work in their fast paced machine shop, specialising in CNC machined parts for the Oil and Gas, Nuclear, Aerospace and Defense sectors. As Quality Engineer, you will be an essential part of the company's continuous improvement initiative which will involve working closely with Operations / Shop Floor, Customers and Suppliers to ensure non-conformances are investigated, remediated and effective corrective actions implemented. Essential role requirements:*Apply Quality Tools and Techniques to effect robust non-conformance investigation and resolution*Ability to read and interpret technical Engineering Drawings (GD&T)*To liaise with Quotes, Projects, Customer Services and Production teams*Define, implement and monitor corrective and preventive actions*Ability to motivate and lead multi-disciplined teams across the entire businessThe ideal candidate will have:*Minimum HNC Mechanical/ Manufacturing or Production Engineering qualification*External Auditor Training*Lean Six Sigma Green Belt*Working knowledge of Root Cause Analysis techniques*Ability to clearly and succinctly write problem definitions / statements*Working knowledge of Process Failure Modes Effects Analysis (PFMEA)*Ability to implement effective monitoring / metrics to support corrective actions*Working knowledge of machining processes*Ability to logically determine cause and effect relationships*This role requires a UK National onlyPersonal attributes:*Great motivational skills (self and others)*Organisational and Planning skills*Use initiative and can work with minimum supervision, on own or part of a team*Attention to detail within a production environment*Excellent communications skills - written, reading and spokenIf you feel you have these experiences and qualities, the company can offer you:*Competitive salary*Potential to progress within a growing, exciting and high integrity company*Surrounded by experienced team with plenty of support*State of the art machines*Wide range of items produced, from small precision parts to over 3m in a variety of materials*Free parking*Canteen on-siteIf you would like further information, or to be considered for this role, please contact Charlotte Forkes on or via .
