Principal Systems EngineerBristol Do you want to work for a leading defence company working the design and supply of marine navigation and communications for military and commercial platforms as a Principal Systems Engineer?Principal Systems Engineer key responsibilities: + To provide and maintain Subject Matter Expertise in Requirements Engineering and Project Design Lifecycle+ To implement hardware and software engineering process+ To negotiate and manage contract technical requirements and assure traceability through to system delivery, ship commissioning and customer acceptance.+ Management of the Type 26 contract requirements within the Requirements and Acceptance Database (RADB), utilising the DOORS toolset.+ Co-ordinate the engineering products through their respective design, development and manufacture lifecycles+ To support / conduct technical reviews and workshops to gain acceptance of the T26 design by customer and project team stakeholders.+ To assist in SE support of Engineering work packages and associated Level 4 plans.+ To provide highly effective and credible Technical Representation for the company when dealing with customers and suppliers.Principal Systems Engineer knowledge, skills and experience:+ Good understanding of requirements engineering within Marine Defence Projects+ Knowledge of the "Vee" cycle.+ Good people management skills+ Good understanding of formal design processes+ PC skills (Ideally DOORS, System Architect, Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Project).This advert was posted by Gold Group - one of the UK's leading niche recruitment consultancies.
