Key Stage 2 Teacher needed, North Somerset - 12 months cover Your new companyYou will be working in a primary school based in North Somerset that has passed as a 'good' school at Ofsted. This role has come about due to maternity leave and will begin in May 2017 and run through for the remainder of the academic year at least. You will be part of an excellent KS2 team and will be working in a school that plays an active role in the local community. Your new roleYou will be responsible for a year 5 class. This will be for a minimum of one term. Leadership is excellent at the school, with a clear direction being set by the head and a very supportive SLT and governing board which works well to support staff within school realising this vision. You will share the responsibility of planning with another Year 5 teacher and would be expected to attend staff meetings, parents evening and will also be offered training through both Hays and the school.What you'll need to succeedIn order to succeed in this role candidates must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Additionally, you must have an excellent ability to quickly build relationships with children with challenging behaviour. In particular your ability to engage these children in learning will be the key to success. Ideally you will have previous experience in year KS2, however this is not essential.
