Salary: Band 10 £32,164 to £34,196 per annum
Job Type: Full Time, Maternity Cover (37 hours per week)

Job Role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen within our Client's People and Organisational Development Team for a Senior HR & OD Officer to cover maternity leave. It's an exciting time to join their team, contributing to the delivery of key projects in relation to the Council's current Transformation programme. You will be part of a team providing HR and OD support and advice to a varied customer base across a wide remit of HR and OD activities including performance management, recruitment, policy development, supporting cultural change, training and development, employee relations and absence.
Working with managers across the Council, you will also provide high quality, specialist advice and support, in line with HR best practice.
You will need to establish yourself quickly and develop an understanding of the Council's core business, effectively balancing the needs of their customers within a framework of best practice. You will be an associate member of the CIPD (minimum) and have experience of working in a full HR generalist role within a busy HR department.
You will have excellent communication and influencing skills, along with the ability to build effective working relationships. You will possess excellent IT skills and experience of using a HR/Payroll database.
