Job Title: Property Claims Manager

Location: Stockport

Our client is the largest third-party accident management and claims handling provider in the UK; serving insurers, brokers and fleet operators by providing a wide range of claims handling solutions across the motor, property and legal claims sectors.

Currently looking for a passionate and motivated individual to join them in the role of Property Claims Manager; this is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in the insurance industry. To be successful you will need the drive required to meet and exceed customer expectations, build internal and external relationships and deliver service excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To proactively manage operational service delivery across the Property team to achieve agreed contractual service levels within targeted direct cost.
  • To recruit, motivate, retain and develop a skilled team, which are deployed to optimise productivity, achieve agreed quality / productivity standards and minimise cost.
  • To challenge current work procedures and recommend process improvements or developments.
  • To encapsulate the operation of the business area under their control in a documented System of Work detailing staff competencies, agreed operational standards and key performance indicators.
  • To act as the primary point of contact for a range of Clients and proactively communicate service performance levels to agreed standards and schedules.
  • To monitor Client revenue performance against budget and identify potential opportunities for revenue growth.
  • To ensure that all appropriate Management Information reports are produced accurately and within the correct time frames to evidence operation at agreed standards and cost control.
  • Resource planning including projection of expected volumes per process based on experience including past volumes, new business, seasonal variations and likely variations due to internal / external events.
  • To ensure service delivery complies with all regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Building Repair Network, Validation Surveyor or Loss Adjuster knowledge.
  • Experience of working with restoration companies, specialists (asbestos, drying, drains) and building contractors; including scoping and pricing property repairs using a variety of 'schedule of rates'.
    • Experience of managing Client relationships day to day.
    • Experience of resolving complex customer problems, issues and complaints.
    • Proven experience of leading, motivating and developing a team in a fast paced environment.
    • Experience working with generic rating systems, Xactware and Symbility.
