This is an exciting full time permanent role based in central Bath, working closely with other UK bid teams. Reporting to the Business Development Manager this role will involve:Working with the Bid Coordinator in London to manage bids for other teams, who are predominantly based in Bath and London, but also supporting the teams in Edinburgh, Leeds, Riyadh, New York and Kuala Lumpur offices when required.Supporting the management of the project pipeline.What you will bring to the role:*Previous marketing, business development and bid coordination experience.*Strong copywriting and copy editing skills.*Previous experience of coordinating and managing tight deadlines.*Excellent communication skills.*Confident, proactive character with the ability to take the lead in challenging situations.*Ability to problem solve and think on your feet.*Prior office experience.*Excellent computer and IT skills including; Adobe Design Standard (InDesign specifically), Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and experience of using spreadsheets and databases.*Typing speed of at least 40wpm.*Previous experience within an architectural practice, construction or engineering industries would be an advantage. (Typing 3-5 years' relevant experience).What you will be doing:The main focus of this role will be across three key areas:Bid Coordination*As the point of contact for Cities bid support in the Bath office, communicate intentions to bid with BDM and necessary work winning communities, ensuring liaison with Project Leads.*Review bid documentation identifying requirements and deadlines, and raising potential issues.*Review input to bids from technical terms against bid criteria, highlighting any potential gaps in information and ensuring we have understood the client's requirements and developed a tailored and focused response.*Ensure that all submissions are well written, compliant with what the client has asked for, are in line with agreed themes and the brand and our corporate message.*Participate in Bid Kick-Off meetings for significant bids to capture the bid themes, key team members and case study projects.*Collate submission documents - ensuring accuracy of input, proof-reading and spell checking.*Identify lead, opportunities and bids for the Cities Business Unit, working with the wider BD team to maintain the pipeline.*Capture and share model answers and refined project descriptions.*Collate, share and disseminate best practice and lessons learned from bid feedback.*Attend Bid Coordinator team meetings to gain progress updates, maintain communication and ensure submission best practice.Finance*Liaison with project operations and finance teams to ensure accurate fee information is replicated across systems.*Be aware of the rates per grade for the Business Unit to check for accurate inclusion in bids.Reporting*Assist with data cleansing activities for monthly management reports.*Assist with Key Relationship Management (KRM) reporting.This role will form part of a team based across the Bath and London offices, therefore willingness and ability to travel to London occasionally is required.If you have the required experience and skills for this role and would like to be considered please send your current CV or call Bee for more information.Simple Recruitment (South West) Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency where this vacancy is concerned.
