Accounts Assistant

Accounts Assistant Castle Employment is looking for a bright, self-motivated, multi-skilled Accounts Assistant to provide support for a well-established, growing manufacturing business based on the outskirts of York. This exciting role of Accounts Assistant will encompass the following; Working in a fast paced environmentManagement of purchase ledgers, accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.Supplier statement reconciliations and dealing with supplier queriesAdherence and development of the internal control processesMaintenance and reconciliation of control accounts including month end reporting and management of the month end process.Analysis and processing employee expenses and credit cardsPreparing online banking payments as requiredCovering other finance duties within the departmentsGeneral finance administration, fielding queries via phone and emailAssisting with reception duties The Candidate: The successful Accounts Assistant will have: AAT Level 3 or above; or be qualified by equivalent relevant experienceExcellent IT skills including MS Office; particularly strong Excel skills; and experience of accountancy software such as SagePrevious experience of working within a busy, multi-skilled accounts roleStrong organisational skills with an eye for accuracy and detailConfident communication skills with a professional telephone manner to deal with customers and suppliersWillingness and flexibility to support wider tasks arising within a small teamBe a real team player with a "can do" attitude and the desire to further develop skill setsOwn transport will be required The Benefits: As Accounts Assistant you will benefit from: Working for well established, successful business that is continuing to growPermanent full time position working Monday to Friday during office hoursSalary: GBP21,000 - GBP24,000pa depending upon experienceGenerous holiday allowanceOn-site free parking About us: CASTLE has been established for 50 years providing expert recruitment solutions to the local and wider Yorkshire areas, we have offices in Scarborough and York with over 20 specialised staff building trusted partnerships with their clients and candidates.
