The Role

Our Client is recruiting for a sales professional to join their busy Scottish Sales team based in their Glasgow office.

As such, they are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and determined sales person with prior sales experience who will contribute to the continued success of their expanding Scottish sales team. The role will involve providing support to the regional sales and service management team as well as actively generating new business and managing existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, cold call & build relationships with new and existing clients
  • Ensure all opportunities are qualified and input on a real-time basis to their internal CRM systems, with detailed notes allowing the pipeline to be effectively managed
  • Communicating new product development, services and capabilities to prospective and existing clients
  • Working closely with the Regional and Public Sector Framework Managers to support existing client management reporting commitments
  • Engage with and maintain key relationships with assigned accounts on both face to face and remote basis
  • Communicate weekly, accurate, realistic, up to date, forecast
  • Build business pipeline to achieve monthly sales targets
  • Proactive follow up of opportunities to close deals
  • Engage with other inter company sales teams where appropriate to sell value services & to meet customer needs
  • Plan approaches & pitches, working with others to develop a proposal that speaks to the client's needs, concerns & objectives
  • Use a variety of styles to persuade & negotiate appropriately
  • Participate as required in local and national sales initiatives, campaigns and Exhibitions

Candidate Criteria

  • Graduate - degree level qualification
  • 2+ years' experience within IT or Professional Services sales environment
  • Good understanding of public sector procurement processes
  • Excellent Word and Excel proficiency
  • Confident communication and presentation skills
  • Full UK Driving License
