Skills for Care has an exciting opportunity for an IT Service Desk Support Assistant to join our existing team providing high quality IT Support.

The Role
As an IT Service Desk Support Assistant you will provide excellent customer focused first and second line ICT support, advice and guidance to Skills for Care staff and ensure that incidents and requests are dealt with promptly and appropriately. You will use your expertise to manage in house customer technical support issues and provide remote support to field based employees along with undertaking and implementing ICT projects across the organisation.
Requirements of the role
You will have the ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines under pressure whilst maintaining professionalism and accuracy, have a strong attention to detail and be able to work as part of a team. You will have excellent communication skills with a willingness to interact with users on a regular basis along with having strong trouble shooting skills for Windows operating systems
We are looking for someone who has:
- Recent IT or Computing degree (or equivalent) is essential,

At least 1 year’s work experience ideally within in a similar role

Strong Windows operating systems technical understanding.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong analytical skills
Any experience with Microsoft technologies such as Windows 7, 10 Office 365, Active Directory and desktop imaging would be advantageous, but is not a prerequisite.
