They are looking for Support Workers to join their team based in Carlisle and West Cumbria.

Our client is a leading national charity providing support to young people and adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. They believe in championing the right of disabled people to live, work, socialise and participate in the community, free of discrimination and unnecessary boundaries.

Who they are looking for

They need reliable and passionate people to join our close-knit team of Support Workers and Relief Support Workers, supporting people out in the community, as well in their own homes. You’ll help them cook, clean, pay bills, apply for jobs, make friends and a thousand things in between.

What they need from you

You need compassion, integrity and to treat people with dignity and respect. You need to be reliable because people are depending on you, be able to travel between locations and work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and overnight as needed. You also need to be a great communicator, both verbally and in writing and have basic IT and numerical skills. With experience of supporting people with Autism and mental health you will also have knowledge of positive behaviour support.
