Our client requires an additional Shift Utility Operative to join their friendly team at the Westbury site.
It is essential that candidates have previous experience working within a process plant environment and are qualified to operate a telehandler/fork lift truck.
Duties/Responsibilities- To assist in the operation of the facility within designated parameters, along with the control of both incoming waste streams and outgoing products.
- Operation of both fixed and mobile plant in a correct and safe manner.
- To ensure deliveries and the despatch of processed products take place as efficiently and smoothly as possible.
- To carry out first line maintenance and to assist the maintenance team on fixed and mobile plant as required.
- To ensure the site is maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
- To deputise / provide cover for the Shift Operator.
- To assist the Supervisor / Shift Operator with the day to day running of the site.
- To assist the Warehouse Operator in the running of the Warehouse / despatch of product.
- To ensure all operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
- To comply with all safety and operational procedures relating to various waste streams in compliance with the waste management licence.
- To carry out first line maintenance including cleaning of the plant as required.
- Ensure that all site records are completed as required.
- To maintain a clean and respectable appearance at all times.
- To maintain high standards of behaviour, discipline and safety at all times for the wellbeing of the Company and fellow employees.
Normal working hours are based on a 40 hour week, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be required to work 8.5 hour shifts between the hours of 6.00am and 10.00pm. Applicants must also be required to be available on alternate Saturday mornings.
