Financial Controller

Financial Controller. Our client is an SME and highly successful distribution business. Is is seeking a commercially aware "hands-on" Financial Controller to control all accounting and financial matters. Candidates can be qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.

In filling the vacancy, we are seeking to raise the level and contribution of the role to include:

* Report on the financial results and highlight KPI's, key drivers and trends within tight deadlines.
* Manage the control of the company's balance sheet whilst facilitating the improvement of working capital.
* Facilitate the preparation, analysis, and communication of financial statements, corporate reporting package, monthly financial forecasts, audits, physical inventory and the operating budgets.
* Manage credit policy and the collection of cash.
* Ensure proper controls are in place for all transactions, financial, inventory, etc. and take action in those areas as needed.
* Lead/facilitate/coordinate the budget process, financial forecasting and associated follow ups.
* Develop reporting systems to support performance management targets
* Develop the Finance function's operational efficiency through the use of systems and staff development (5 direct reports)
