About the Auditor role:
We are currently recruiting for an Auditor role within our Internal Audit team. The role is permanent and will be based in your new offices in Salford Quays (temporarily Warrington until May, 2017).
Reporting into the Head of Audit and taking direction from IT Audit Manager and Senior Auditors, this role is responsible for supporting the delivery and contributing to the preparation of high-quality final audit report. This role is also required to engage stakeholders effectively to achieve audit objectives.
The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide variety of assignments across the whole group and engage with colleagues at all levels in TalkTalk.
The auditor will work on the full audit life cycle from planning through to reporting and on to action tracking, to deliver the following types of audit:
Operational audits
Project audits
Special investigations
Compliance audits
Financial audits
IT system audits
Key responsibilities of this role include:
Understand key processes relating to the particular audit and identify key risks and expected controls in the process.
Conduct audits in accordance with audit methodology and execute fieldwork with attention to quality and detail identifying control weakness and associated root causes.
Discuss and agree audit findings with auditees as part of the draft reporting stage ensuring factual accuracy and clear definition of risk exposure.
Track, monitor and report on implementation of management actions within the agreed timeframes. Prepare updates in a timely manner for Executive and Audit Committee reporting purposes.
