CAD Technician

Evro are hunting for an CAD Technician for a 1 year contract... The role will be based in GL1, and the project list is varied to include a number of multi function and commercial interiors. The post holder will operate under the overall guidance of a Strategic Accommodation Manager and will provide support in the accommodation strategy planning and moving of staff within the Client's complex. The post holder will be required to adapt, modify existing CAD drawings as well as being able to design and create office layouts in line with GCC policy and procedures. Must have at least experience in a similar role producing specifications and drawings Knowledge, Skills and Understanding Ability to develop and enhance the current office layout and working environmentTo have a clear understanding of current legislation with regards to office accommodation and the Management of Health and Safety at Work regulations 1999.To have the ability to make decisions and recommendations on the appropriateness of design, maintenance, technical and environmental solutions for particular circumstances/locations.Ability to make recommendations to the Line Managers, which may result in changes in policy and/or strategy.A thorough understanding of building related and health and safety legislation. (e.g. CDM, Asbestos, DDA)Ability to prioritise own workload and work with minimum supervisionMust have technical knowledge relating to current AutoCAD and previous versions It would be desirable to have knowledge of the workings of local government, particularly in relation to property issues.
