Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - GBP36,000-GBP45,000+
With manufacturing facilities located UK, Europe and Worldwide we now require a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join the Maintenance Team at the Leicester based manufacturing facility.
This is a highly automated, FMCG manufacturing environment working for a large Global company, with the potential to progress to team lead and manage in this large structured business.
The work environment is clean, warm and modern working in a technically focused hands on role with variation including - projects, installations, maintenance and service.
Salary: GBP36,000 +
OT Rates: Mon-Sat Time and ?? and Sun - Double
Hours/Shift: 4on 4off Days and Nights. 2days,2nights 4 off
Benefits: pension up to 4% matched, Death in Service x3 salary, Life assurance, On site parking
Location: North Leicester
Commutable from: Leicester, Melton Mowbray, Loughborough, South Nottingham
Background required: Previous experience within a Manufacturing/Industrial environment as an Mechanical maintenance engineer.
Essential Skills required:
*Apprentice trained
*A strong background within a mechanical maintenance role within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
Key responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:
*To maintain service and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production down time.
*Provide technical mechanical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns
*PPM's
The ideal candidate will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:
* Time served apprenticeship
* Strong mechanical background
* Knowledge and understanding of Gear Boxes, Motors, Taper locks, Conveyors
* Educated in a relevant engineering discipline - City and Guilds/NVQ level 3/HNC/HND etc.
* Basic Electrical Knowledge working with 3 phase motors would be advantageous
Training:
The company offer specific machinery training.
