Senior Accountant

A growing, well established and highly regarded accountancy practice, based in Exeter, has a requirement for a Senior Accountant, with a background working in the profession, to join their team , in a hands on role, dealing with varied clients. The role has arisen through positive growth and developments within the firm and can suit either a full time, or part time working arrangement. Client Details This accountancy practice, based in Exeter, with several partners and a good sized team of around thirty five staff, provides the range of general accountancy services to a varied client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited company OMBs and SMEs, across wide ranging industries and turnovers, up to several million pounds in turnover. The firm has developed a very strong presence and reputation and provides a very good working environment for practice background professionals, to carve long term career moves. Description Joining as a Senior Accountant, based at their Exeter offices, the role is mouldable to some degree around finding the right person and fit here, working in one of partners teams, on either a full time, or part time working arrangement. This partner primarily acts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, all sub audit threshold in turnover, so no audit requirements and clients ranging into the millions in turnover on larger concerns. The industry range is very varied and they require a hands on accountant, preparing accounts, personal and corporate tax returns, VAT and providing other general accountancy practice services, to this firms client base, working in a team consisting of the partner, manager and 3 other trainees across 2 AAT trainees and a ACA trainee. You will sit between the trainees, reporting to the manager and partner, carving a key position within this team. Profile You will have at least 2 - 4 years or more experience, specifically gained within an accounting firm environment, as a Senior Accountant, or similar, preparing accounts, tax, bookkeeping and providing other services to sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. You may hold AAT, ACCA or another qualification, or may be experienced only, with significant experience in practice and be looking for new challenging opportunity, within a growing firm of accountants, on either a full time, or part time basis. Job Offer GBP20,000 - GBP28,000 negotiable, dependent on experience and background.
