Assistant Site Manager - Recycling / Machinery Spider. The Regions Fixed Fee Web Recruiters are currently supporting a well-established green waste open windrow compost site based near Colchester with the search for an Assistant Site Manager who has had previous experience with Recycling or Waste Management machinery.
The key focus of the Assistant Site Manager is to be responsible for managing all regulatory procedures including Health & Safety and compliance with both Environment Agency and PAS100 requirements.
Other responsibilities include:
- Be ?hands on' and operate the machinery which includes screeners, 360 excavators, loading shovels and a Willibald shredder
- Organise the maintenance of machinery and site repairs
- Ensure essential supplies are purchased
- Ensure a safe working environment at all times
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Excellent communication skills with a good level of verbal and written English
- Be practical and hands on
- Be competent and reliable
- Have a pro-active attitude with ability to motivate others
- Energetic with good, friendly and diplomatic customer service skills
- Experienced loading shovel and 360 excavator operator
- Awareness of Health and Safety regulation and environmental compliances
- Previous management or supervisory experience is desirable
- Computer literate
- Be prepared to work overtime and weekends as necessary
- Excellent time keeper
