This company is looking for someone that ideally has the some of the following skills/experience:
Great communication skills both written & verbal
Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks under high pressure situations
Determined with a lot of motivation to see issues through to completion
Great team working skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision
Ideally some experience with monitoring systems
A university degree or industry recognised certification
Knowledge of either Checkpoint, Juniper, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, F5, Websense/Buecoat Proxy or SIEM tools
As a first line support engineer you will be responsible for:
The first point of call for customers raising incidents
Engaging with customers and answering queries via telephone
Monitoring, assessing and logging potential threats
Project work on a low level
Carrying out simple changes as well as analysing and creating specifications for simple change.
This role would involve nightshift work.
