Role: CAD Design Technican - Civil Infrastructure and / or Highways and Drainage

Location: Central Birmingham

Salary: GBP25000 - 40000 + excellent benefits

Start: Any time from Mid-March 2017

An exciting opportunity exists for experienced Civil CAD Technicians with large civil infrastructure and drainange project experience to work for our client, a major international engineering, architectural and consulting firm in Central Birmingham (near to New Street Station),

The CAD Designers in Birmingham will, to start with, primarily be concerned with supporting major Airport and Highway projects, include drainage assessments and drainage design/modelling. More long term however, the team will transistion towards supporting major rail projects, including HS2.

Reporting to the Senior Engineers, candidates are likely to have several years experience of preparing and presenting detailed drawings for infrastructure construction - however. any candidates who may not have the number of years' experience required but can demonstrate the necessary skills may apply and will be considered.

For senior roles, an ability to lead and develop CAD technicians is expected.

An ability to use 3D based software for design is expected. Candidates will also expect to have a flexible approach to location and a willingness to develop new skills and knowledge.

Experience in the areas of Airports, highways or rail would be idea but is not essential, though would be highly advantageous.
