Stock Controller / Materials Planner

Stock Controller / Materials Planner role, Food Manufacturing, Wiltshire

We are recruiting for a Stock Controller role on behalf of our Food Production client based in Devizes, Wiltshire.

The Role:

Reporting to the Materials Manager, you will be responsible for Scheduling , managing & maintaining stock levels within the business. Warehouse Stock and Inventory Control for raw materials and packaging to ensure the company minimizes stock holdings and maximizes space potential.

The role carries responsibility for working with purchasing, goods inwards and dispatch to ensure necessary functions are carried out correctly, and the job will work alongside another stock controller in maintaining stock standards and meeting customer orders in full on time

Responsibilities Include:

• Support the company's inventory management strategy with the aim of controlling costs within budgetary limits, generating savings and rationalising inventory.
• Support the materials manager to manage and maintain the company's material and stocked product inventory including stock profiles and stock locations, e.g. Maintaining stock of raw materials and packaging in line with the requirements of the business. Minimizing the use of outside storage by keeping stock levels low by using a JIT system
• Maintain ordering process' in line with company requirements and system traceability
• Be responsible for ensuring supplier holding stock is kept within holding times & does not exceed product forecast
• Maintain bulk supplier stock records in line with purchase orders & forecast usage

Essentials and Desireable skills and experience:

• Ideally possessing a relevant professional qualification and/or suitable background experience in stock control and material scheduling within a Food Production / manufacturing environment
• Have a good working knowledge of MRP and inventory control / management & traceability Systems
• Possess the ability to work efficiently & effectively under tight timescales

Hours: Working Monday - Friday

Salary: up to £20,000 + Benefits
