Power Electronics Engineer

I am currently recruiting for an excellent company that are working on an exciting project based in the Midlands. My client is looking for an experienced hardware engineer who also has experience within high power electronics to come into their business and drive new and exciting projects. This is a 6 month contract.Job role:- * Design, validation and industrialisation of power electronic converter modules for HVDC & FACTs * Circuit simulation for design and testing * Specification of key power electronics components * Electronics and thermal design integration * Compile DFMEA and design document and know how to apply PFMEA Must have experience and skills in ALL of these areas below:- Power Electronics and High Voltage knowledge Thermal Design (loss calculation, heatsink specification) Power Electronics components (IGBTs, thyristors, passive components) Desirable experience and skills:- * Knowledge/understanding of high-power and high-voltage design and control issues * Understanding of multi-modular converters Please note: EU applicants only..
