Head of Medical:

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Medical role covers strategic, client relationship and operational responsibilities as follows:
Strategic:
- Business planning - working with the board to set vision and goals for growth of the Medical business, alongside other key sectors, specifically: Consumer / FMCG and B2B (Industrial, Scientific & Defence)
- Preparing and implementing action plan to deliver against strategic goals, covering finance, sales, marketing, operations, resources
- Responsibility for financial performance of the Medical business unit
- Responsibility for Quality & Regulatory within the business and medical projects
Client Relationships:
- Setting financial targets and goals for key clients in the Medical sector
- Acting as account director for key clients, helping to ensure that they understand, meet and exceed client expectations
- Growing their portfolio of key Medical clients
- Working closely with both their Business Development team, particularly the Medical Business Development Manager and design/project management teams to fuel and grow the business pipeline
Operational:
- Responsibility for achieving agreed annual sales target of Medical business unit
- Setting best practices for project management and delivery of Medical design and product development projects
- Ensuring appropriate alignment with best practice with regard to the medical regulatory framework (including FDA, ISO13485, IEC60601)
- Leadership, review and verification of key Medical projects
- Working closely with the Executive Design Director and HR function to support development of the team (by training, recruitment etc.) to help achieve sustainable high standards of project delivery
