Project Engineer Manager - Future Energy

A superb opportunity to work at the very forefront of future power generation and fuel cell technology! You will be a key project manager in developing and producing a highly efficient means of electricity creation to solve future energy requirements in a low-carbon but workable way.
As the Project Engineer Manager you will be joining a truly world class team focussed on a variety of research, development and client centric projects; taking them from concept to full production and commercialisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the PMO in executing projects according to business strategy.
* Manage the various stakeholders involved; external suppliers and internally across engineering, technology, manufacturing, supply chain, and finance.
* Manage risk within the project, identifying major risk drivers, their potential likelihood and impact, and implementation of necessary mitigation measures.
* Manage project quality within the quality framework, to ensure project meets customer requirements.
* Secure agreement of resource plan for the project with functional leaders within the business, and ensure functional leaders fill any necessary skills or resource gaps.
* Ensure all stakeholders receive the appropriate level and frequency of information on project status.
* Manage project cost through monitoring of internal and external spend to establish (a) cost vs. plan (b) cost to complete (c) cost reduction measures needed to meet plan.
* Support project reviews, involving preparation of material and co-ordination of evidence from other functions as needed.
Skills and Experience:
* Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
* At least 4 years of project management experience or similar.
* Good understanding of project or programme management techniques underpinned by a good technical background.
* Experience of project managing within a technically complex engineering environment.
* Good experience of customer and supplier relationship management.
* Ability to adapt rapidly to changing priorities and situations, working in a fast paced environment.
