Bristol

Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 per annum

Housingrecruit.com is advertising for a Project Surveyor / Clerk of Works on behalf of their client, a leading social housing provider based in Bristol.

This role is a great opportunity to work with a growing community-based housing association in Bristol. They currently manage nearly 2,000 homes in and around Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Swindon and have plans to expand.  They have a strong track record of providing great services in their communities and being a great place to work for staff.  They’re now looking for a knowledgeable, flexible and dynamic individual who can help them ensure their development projects are delivered on time, on budget and finished to the highest standards

You will undertake a Clerk of Works service for all developments in contract, making recommendations about any aspect of the work including quality issues, plans and schedules.    Working closely with architects and contractors you will prepare and undertake snagging, de-snagging and end of defects inspections with regular site visits.   You will also seek new opportunities and spot possible development sites to help the organisation meet their ambitious development programme of 500 new homes over the next 5 years. Previous experience of property inspections and tendering procedures are essential.  The successful candidate should be organised and have a positive and flexible attitude to work.

In return, you will receive an excellent company pension scheme, generous holiday entitlement and the opportunity to develop and further your career.  More than that though, you will have the chance to really make a difference and be part of an organisation which may be small in size but big in ambition and reputation.

Closing Date: 16th April 2017
