Technical / CAD Assistant

Balconette, an expanding company, specialises in the manufacture and supply of high quality Glass Balconies, Balustrades, Curved Doors and Decking to both the private and commercial markets. 

We currently have a great opportunity for an intelligent and technically minded person to join our Technical team as a Technical/CAD Assistant.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with customers
  • Produce drawings to customer specifications
  • Get drawings signed off for manufacture
  • Purchasing
  • Monitor purchases and manufacture of order
  • Liaise with manufacturing/install department

Requirements

  • Clear, confident communication skills
  • 2D CAD experience preferred but training will be given to the right person
  • Good computer skills in MS Office
  • Previous experience of working in a contracts environment and an understanding of construction related terminology would be an advantage
  • Good organisational skills
  • Polite, friendly and professional manner

We use our own database and CAD software in addition to the use of AutoCAD LT program

Working hours are Monday - Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm

Salary depending on experience

Your own transport would be an advantage as local transport links are limited
