Network Development Manager
£47,329 to £53,272
36.5 hours per week
We are dedicated to developing and promoting high quality public transport services and infrastructure across the region to meet our vision to build a healthier, happier, better connected and more prosperous West Midlands.
The Network Delivery Team within TfWM fulfil and manage the bus service network and associated customer infrastructure through delivery and provision of accessible transport solutions, subsidised bus services, network development opportunities and effective asset management and maintenance. The team are responsible for influencing and delivering these key functions through the creation of strong partnerships with the 7 district authorities of the West Midlands, bus operators and other stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have excellent people and management skills and will manage five direct reports. You will be accountable for the delivery of effective outputs through the Bus Alliance and partnership working with bus operators in the company region and the formation of new partnerships.
In addition you will be accountable for the contract management arrangements for the company's bus service, asset maintenance and infrastructure contracts as managed within the Network Delivery Team and maximise the commercial benefit of the company Assets, including advertising revenue and other opportunities.
To be considered you will need to demonstrate:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Experience of successful partnership working;
* Knowledge of the bus industry and a proven history of effective negotiation are essential.
